About this page.

I've always been charmed by the "style" of old-internet webpages. I remember browsing the internet one night and stumbling across the personal website of Fabrice Bellard. Contained is simply a URL list of incredible things he has contributed to keeping the internet running (alongside some unhinged web kernel emulators and computational mathematics). I, unfortunately, am not Fabrice Bellard or Terrance Tao. However, the principle of those webspaces, I wish to preserve.

Most of the internet is filled with an unbelievable amount of poor programming and CSS bloat that simply isn't needed. Our computers and internet services have the speed to transmit information unfathomably fast, yet we somehow find even quicker ways of botching it! On the other hand, we have demonstrated that we can make websites both expedient and functional.

Whenever I design something, I want it to be so functional that its existence requires no justification or visual fluff to be helpful to people. That is my personal favorite hallmark of good engineering.
